The Scene

A smallish bar frames a flat-screen television, while smaller TVs--nine in total--dot the walls upstairs and down. Scarlet walls, cobalt couches and hardwood floors lend an informal but modern feel. R&B and some '80s hits set a warm, tingly vibe.

The Draw

After-work drinkers come to carouse with mates while keeping an eye on the game. Seats can be hard to come by (so much for lounging), but that results in plenty of mingling. Patrons pick at slightly upscale bar food, in the form of sandwiches and burgers as well as the usual staples of calamari, nachos and cheese fries. Facing a choice of five beers on tap and the typical stable of booze, newcomers are unlikely to be disappointed or surprised.
